### How to Use

Once the plugin is installed and activated, you can start downloading files from
your media library immediately.

#### Downloading Single Files

 1. Go to your WordPress admin area
 2. Navigate to **Media > Library**
 3. You can use either List view or Grid view
 4. Locate the file you want to download
 5. Click the **Download** button that appears next to each media file
 6. The file will be downloaded to your computer

#### Downloading Multiple Files

 1. Go to **Media > Library**
 2. Switch to **List view** using the icons above the media table (list icon on the
    left)
 3. Select the files you want using the checkboxes in the first column
 4. Click the blue **Download selected files** button next to Bulk actions, or choose**
    Bulk actions > Download selected files** and click **Apply**
 5. For a single file, hover a row title and click **Download** in the row actions
 6. Selected files will be packaged and downloaded as a ZIP file

#### View Options

The plugin works seamlessly with both WordPress media library view options:

 * **List View**: Shows files in a table format with download buttons in each row
 * **Grid View**: Displays files as thumbnails with download options accessible 
   via hover or click

#### Plugin Settings

 1. Go to **Settings > Media Downloader** in your WordPress admin
 2. Configure maximum download size limits (default: 100MB)
 3. Set automatic cleanup intervals for temporary files (default: 24 hours)
 4. Enable download logging to track activity (optional)
 5. Customize ZIP filename patterns with placeholders like {timestamp}, {date}, {user}
 6. Use manual cleanup to remove temporary files immediately

#### Important Notes

 * Downloads are processed using AJAX, so there’s no page reload
 * Large files or multiple file downloads may take a few moments to process
 * Ensure your browser allows downloads from your WordPress site
 * The plugin respects WordPress user permissions – only users with appropriate 
   media access can download files
 * Temporary ZIP files are automatically cleaned up based on your settings
 * Download activity can be logged and viewed in the admin dashboard

Did exactly what it said it does, no complications. As someone else said, this is
something that should be WP core, but thank goodness for this plugin.

Simply superb. Very easy and practical way to download media files. This should 
have been an inbuilt feature by wordpress. Thanks for the plugin

This plugin simply does its job. What it says. Big respect and admiration to the
developer. In other similar plugins, such functionality is shoved into the premium
version. Thanks, dear! You helped me out! And the low rating is from those who did
not understand what the essence of this plugin is. It works and works perfectly!

I love plugins that really do what they promise. However you could give better instructions
and use the word "Download" which is more familiar to most people. Five stars though,
because it is a very useful and well working plugin.
