Post Restrictor

Description

Plugin for restricting posts from public view that are posted in a category called ‘private’, Does this by requiring the user to be logged in to view.

To use just create a category called ‘private’ then any posts posted into this category will be hidden from public view (not logged in users).

Installation

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.

  1. Upload PostRestrictor.php to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory

  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

  3. Create a category called ‘private’

  4. post your “private” posts into the category ‘private’

FAQ

Q: Can I change what category is hidden?

A: Yes, however this can only be achieved by editing the plugins source code.

Q: Does this plugin hide posts from the category private on every page (e.g. front page, single post view, category view etc)

A: Yes this plugin takes effect on every page.
