Description

This project helps you implement your own Custom Status in the Post Submit Box.

Implements register_post_status and a little jQuery function to render the status on the admin screen.

This plugin is Open Source software. It was built with <3 in Cancun by Page Carbajal / Software Engineer.

At this time, all post status are private.

All Posts you mark with your Custom Status will not be included in the LOOP unless the user is logged-in.

Installation

Get ready in 4 simple steps

  1. Install the plugin
  2. Go to Tools > Custom Status Settings
  3. Add the Custom Status you want to use with your Posts separated by commas
  4. Edit any of your Posts, select the new status

Hey there, thought I’ll give it a 5 as it works as it should. Though I would really love to see some more functions especially in terms of public/private state and probably some implementation of role rights. It’s a shame that this topic is so behind in wordpress. Especially when dealing with user submitted content, different post status are important. Thanks for your work!
